Thursday Evening at O'Connor Law Office in River Market
Forty-nine days until the election. Not that I am counting.
I have been working hard on my reelection campaign since the Legislative session ended in May. As you probably know, I am challenged, again, in the primary by the same young man who has run against me twice before - JJ Rizzo. The election is August 5th so there are only a couple of weeks left in which to raise the money that I will need to spend in the closing weeks.
My goal is to raise $65,000. That is just a bit less than I have spent in each of the last two elections and considerably less than the $100,000 the Rizzo camp is bragging they plan to spend to defeat me. With the campaign limits of $325 per person or entity that breaks down to 200 maximum donors. So far I have raised just over $33,000. So I am halfway there. But I cannot make it without help. So some of my friends are sponsoring a fundraising reception this week at Matt O'Connors Law Office .
The event is Thursday, June 19th from 5 to 7 P.M. at 523 Grand Avenue in the River Market area.
